What is Business Blueprint in SAP? The SAP Blueprint is basically a comprehensive description of the internal business processes and system needs of a particular company. It is also a developmental key configuration report (KCR). The SAP Blueprint file contains all the necessary configuration settings to adapt the ERP architecture to company-specific requirements. Basically, the aim of this document is to prepare for the integration of the ERP and the various modules according to the current working format and design.

This blueprint phase in SAP ensures that the business process is developed in a step-wise manner, as suggested by the users and approved by the management. The document is very informative, as it contains all the required configuration settings that need to be processed during the application installation or the upgrade of an existing system.
